Dear Friends in the Northwest,
This Sunday is Palm Sunday, a day when we remember Jesus’ triumphal entry into Jerusalem on a donkey, how people shouted ‘Hosanna!’ and put their cloaks and palm branches on the road in front of him. We then read the whole account of Jesus passion and death, a reminder of how quickly the tone changed, something that helps us prepare as we move into Holy Week and the remembrance of the last days of Jesus’ life and his death.
As is traditional, palm crosses will be blessed at our services this Sunday, and I will send you one if you are not able to attend.
I have already sent out details of services being held in Ullapool on each day of Holy week, and of the services at St Mary’s Ullapool, Achiltibuie and Inchnadamph Old Kirk on Easter Sunday. Please do remember to let me know in advance if you would like to attend any of these.
Wishing you a very blessed Holy Week.
With love and prayers,
